The VA has reemphasized the mental health treatment for returning Veterans in terms of readjustment treatment, PTSD counseling, and vocational rehabilitation. Overall, 28 of these new treatment centers will be build across the Country including this new facility in Washington County in 2010. St. George as a city that is quickly growing is too far from the Wasatch Front and even the Las Vegas area warranting the creation of this facility. The facility will be staffed by social workers, psychologists, and psychiatric nurses. Many hope that a similar facility will be built in Northern Utah due to the large population of Veterans in Weber, Box Elder, and Davis Counties.
